WG&R completed Phase 2 of a 3-phase project for the installation and reconfiguration of the 3rd floor Endoscopy Suite. The project included works to endoscopy units, training facilities and various multifunctional clinic rooms including ultrasound.

Works began in March 2023 which included the installation of a new air handing unit which was situated on the adjacent hospital flat roof. A new ventilation system with accompanying DX air conditioning systems have been installed along with medical gas and RO water system.

New lighting and lighting control systems have been installed throughout, the lighting control systems provide emergency self-test as well as reporting on each emergency light that has been installed.

Small power has been installed within the area consisting of two essential power distribution boards, which are generator backed and two none essential distribution boards that power the majority of the installation.

A new UPS system has been installed to provide additional life safety protection to the two new endoscopy rooms.

A new fire alarm has been installed to the department and interfaced back to the existing hospital fire alarm system. A new Nurse Call system has been installed to provide patients with the ability to contact nurses on duty.

The WG&R team successfully completed the works whilst keeping the surrounding areas of the hospital fully operational. Collaborative working between all parties was a key factor in the successful delivery working closely with the NHS Trust and Willmott Dixon.
